Mr. Kevin Konecny serves as the Director of Campus and Residence Life in Education
City with the Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community
Development in Doha, Qatar. Currently a Ph.D. candidate in Higher
Education Administration at Bowling Green State University, Mr. Konecny holds a Master of Science in
Counseling Psychology from St. Bonaventure University in New York and a Bachelor of
Arts in Political Science and Social
Studies from the University of Maine, Farmington. Konecny's career as an
educator and administrator spans 18 years in both the United States and
international setting working wit the University of Michigan, Bowling
Green State University, University of Guam, Kings College in
Pensylvannia, St Bonavanture University, McKendree College in Illinois.
Kevin's experience includes development, fundraising, teaching and
administration. Mr. Konecny previously served on the Board of
Trustees of
from 1998 to 2000 on the Bowling Green State University Board of Trustees. Konecny
has a passion for has a passion for
global education and recognizes the significant need in Africa and
sees this as an opportunity to contribute in an area where he has significant passion. Reflecting on his nomination to become a board member of African University Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Mr. Konecny said: “I am excited about the work of the African University Foundation and I would like to help advance this initiative and help to make the dream a reality.”
